Re: Calabogie ice
Wouldn't risk it yet with the mild weather and rain over the next few days. Not worth it to take a dip for a few fish, there is some ice by shore and the small lakes appear to be iced over but a very thin layer at best, I would consider it far from solid or trustworthy. Two fellas went threw a pond ...

Re: Montreal's Planned Sewage Dump
Daboss you do make some valid points, I'm very familiar with the sewer industry as I work in it myself. Yes the flow of the St.Lawrence will take all the sewage away quick and absorb it, the river is very powerful no doubt. My point was that in 2015 with the technology and equipment available this k...

Montreal's Planned Sewage Dump
Any of you fella's been following this story? City of Montreal over the next week will be dumping 8 billion litres of raw untreated sewage directly into the St.Lawrence River via underwater pipes. 12,000 litres per minute will be dumped into the river due to planned infrastructure repairs on the sew...

Congrats to Birdee!!!! Was inches away from taking out a big buck tonight with my truck on my way into work just down the road from my house. Glad I avoided it, would much rather take it down with my Bow.

Re: 2015 Deer season - Rut reports
CClad.....do you hunt 64a? Just noticed you mentioned the ashton area, I'm just southwest of ashton. Haven't seen to many scraps or rubs around here either but have been picking up lots of deer on the trail cams, both soe's and bucks finally. Now that the corn has come down there all flooding into t...

Re: 2015 Deer season - Rut reports
Seems like the bucks are starting to move around, picked up 3 seperate ones, 2 shooters and one smaller spike, all on one trail cam I have out. Also witnessed a good size buck run full tilt into a farmers electric fence the other evening, it took him by suprise, can't say I've seen a deer jump that ...

Re: 2015 Deer season - Rut reports
I'm in 64a also, just south of ashton in the prospect/franktown area. Have had my cams set up for the last few weeks, picking up lots of activity but no big boys. I've located a few bedding areas in a back field that has multiple apple trees in it. I will post updates as the season continues, still ...

Re: Found them!!!
I would guess the same, fairly fresh stockers. Usually the fresh stockers are the most agressive, they will hit anything that's in front of them.RJ wrote:That's wild. If I had to bet those fish were stocked that size and recently. Great fishin!

I will second that, always a performer nothing fancy but gets the job done.bradford2 wrote:If I were buying a new pump right now it would be an 870 hands down.
And this is coming from a guy who normally likes fancy guns
My first was an 870 and I have another now as well. They always perform.

Re: Cheap idea for goose floaters, tell me what you think!
If you search on kijiji you can always find goose/duck decoys for sale. Sometimes people like to sell them in a bigger lot, 50-100 at a time but some people will sell 5-10, would be your best bet.
