Was out there today in the father in-laws boat and was sunked .
We had 3 good hits that didn't stick.

When I saw that change in the spring my first thought was WTF are they thinking.
2nd is why would you keep an 8inch bass ? its almost all head (especially a large mouth). There is as much meat on a nice jumbo perch.

Big Rideau PP does have some boat to sites . You would have to call the park to get info on these since the boat/remote sites are not listed on the web site.

I think I'm just making up for the skunkings I've had since opening day to July 4th.

The morning started out a little foggy (actually the road was hard to see at times). By the time I got to the lake just after 6 it was almost lifted. Got the boat launched fairly quickly, only a few boats ahead of me. One was another hawker (at least waring the hat), I think they were in a crestline...

I was on the lake this morning hunting lakers mostly and then smallies for about 40 min..
May try to get back wed after work if the weather co-operates.
