Yannick, You are near the ottawa river, no need to go any furthur. That river is full of big pike. Just because you don't see them doesnt mean they arent there. What the hell were the people using that you outfished with spoons? Spoons are a reaction lure, plain and simple, and not a good one. Look,...

I bit my tongue for long enough on this one i think, anyone reccomending spoons needs to expand their tackle box and not at their local harware store. These are dated presentations, sure you will catch a few snot rockets on them, but their is always something better..ALWAYS. BullDawgs, Jimmy's, weig...

True, even though for a short period, those huge mothers get right up shallow. A friend of mine has a wooded lot that borders the ottawa with a small creek running thorugh. In the spring when it floods, that woods is full of pike, and i mean FULL!! IT's so cool seeing all the little males huddled ar...

I guided up north and worked at a few hatcheries for a few years but hated being broke. I ended up goin back to school for engineering :(

YUM dingers are decent and durable but a far cry from Gary's. It was my first time on this smallie lake last year and I found a sweet saddle/hump off a point, littered with boulders. I made several casts and nothing, i knew there had to be fish there. I put on a Gary, very similar color and BAM! one...

AHH! fellow fleming grads! I took aquaculture too, and worked at Al's walleye/muskie hatchery a few times as well. Those garbage bins full of 'eyes! I'll never forget that. Graduated somewhere around 96-98?
