Re: Spring Perch - Meat Run

Like Markus said, may be just a matter of dialling in the settings on your finder. I have also found, in my case where I have my transducer rigged up to easily remove and put on other boats, if my transducer angle isn't right I can't mark my jig after a certain depth but if I adjust the transducer I...

Re: Trout fishing

My nephew got his first spec outta there a few years back too. We were roasting hot dogs on a fire when his bell went off. One of my favorite memories, he must have been only 3 or 4. Like RJ indicates though I wouldn't waste my time, never had a banner day there myself.

Re: Looking Back On My 2017 Ice Fishing Season, Video Style.

Thanks a lot Yves, really appreciate it! Great work on your videos man it's really cool that you produce the music and the videos. I tried posting a couple vids I made on YouTube and promptly got emails telling me to remove because i did not have rights to the songs used haha. The young ones look li...

Re: Calabogie ice

I haven't been out that way recently but I would bet that there are still a bunch of lakes out that way with fishable ice. In springs past one lake would be half open, go to the next lake less than km away and solid ice. Depends how much sun the lakes get, if there are any springs or flowing water e...

Re: Shirleys bay Ice

The boulders are laaaaame. I think they put them there to protect some sensitive plant life they claim to be there. Can't even let the dog out there when launching the boat without risking a fine.

Hey I know that dog lol! I know Hunter can't wait for ice fishin' but I've still got a few weeks left in the boat. Don't know how often we'll get out this winter with my first born due in January but I'm sure we'll see ya out there this year! Nice write up too, describes the feeling pretty well. All...

Re: Lake Access through a Hunting camp

If they are at the camp when you go by get out and ask em if they mind you going through to access a lake for fishing. I have in the past and they were real friendly about it. I even dropped off a couple fish on the way out for them. Not saying all groups would be as receptive but doesn't hurt to as...
