As long as the OOS is released and your not targeting, I don't see the problem. As far as pix....I don't post'm, but am not offended to view others as long the fish was released.

To speed up the "learning curve" you may want to use a super line as your 1st spool. Has a tendency to hold to the spool a little better than mono/flocrbn. (less backlashing/birdnests)
Just remember that we were born with thumbs for a reason.....1 was to use baitcasters!!!

Hey Grover,
Generally florocarobon line is less visible underwater than most lines and has less stretch than monofilament.(also less line memory)
Havn't found many disadvantages w/t it. Due to it's brittleness, I wouldn't go any higher than 8 lb if using it as a main line on spinning gear.

Tried the 6 & 8 lb Crystal this fall and had good results w/t both....6 lb is a little easier on the ceramic guides.
P.S. Make sure to run backing on those superlines!

Hey Matt,
You'd need a lid of a Magnum Bubba to make the lures you throw

Welcome Wanabe,
30 lb leaders should be strong enough, 9"-18" will usually do for lenghth.
Look for the "ball bearing" swivel leaders....helps w/t the twisting.
If the fish are bigger don't be afraid to pick up a couple of 50-60 lbers.
