Re: Do you EAT Bass? Just curious...
I dunno, I think it's all about what you are used to. I never keep brookies under 1 pound, to me that's wasting a fish, while others would never keep one over that. Personally I don't eat bass, nor do I know anyone that does for that matter. In my area trout are king and bass are kinda, well, someho...

Love the hedge trimmers!
How does one go about fishing these? I've seen them suntanning and they always seem to want nothing to do with me. They just move off ever so slightly. Can litterally drag a lure over their snout. I guess there's a period of time when they're more active?

Re: trolling deep for lakers
This link http://cayugafisher.net/pages/resdex.php was probably one of the most helpful and insightful articles I've read about fishing for lake trout. That site is a very good read. A lot of good info in there beyond just the basics. Thanks for sharing that! Some info I've discovered by trial and ...

Re: trolling deep for lakers
Without a downrigger it's a crapshoot. But likely you're nowhere deep enough. Find some fish on the sonar. Stop. And jig. Use a jig head with enough weight, 1/2oz min, crank up the sensitivity on the sonar if you have a good quality one you should be able to see your jig on the sonar. Like playing a...

You can see it a bit here. Too small a lake to have free barometric info online.

Re: I'm done with CTC
Does Foy's marine in Renfrew carry them ? Worth a call anyway.
I find myself going to CTC less and less. The odd half price tool, that's about it. Their stocking sucks. Rain Checks are worse.
So many more options is purchasing nowadays.

Re: Our First Fishing Summer Camp
Sweet Uncle Walter!
I really find the most memorable fishing is bringing a bunch of kids and watching them get right into it.
Man I wish I was closer to have my kids in on that.
I'd be all over it like a fat kid on smarties. *advanced apologies to any offended fat kids*

Taper lock Pedestal seat
I'm looking to get a pedestal seat for the bow of my boat. I hate my standard one, hard to control the trolling motor pedal from a seated position. My mount is a taper lock. Been looking at this one. Any better deals than this anyone found? $190 seat included, free shipping... http://www.amazon.ca/S...

South of Arundel? You're a good chunk away from Tremblant, wouln't worry about the fondue... unles of course you want it for yourself. Worst case, you can get a license at a depaneur/store a few clicks from the lake. There's an SAQ section (LCBO) there too, so bonus.... http://www.mddelcc.gouv.qc.ca...
