Too bad I moved out of there last June, hey that's a good thing. I can't imagine buying a seasons pass and they pull the docks out 2/3 of the way in, man there is still 2 months left to the season. It like when I started to guide in 2000 and the Feds sent me a bill for $150 for the use of the boyes,...

You better catch a fish or 10, driving over 48 hours just for the scenery would kind of suck. LOL

I'll make it out that way someday, maybe spend a month or two travelling all those big fish waters. It's one of those things that one needs to do once in their lifetime.

Break a leg.

A proud papa

I'm extremely proud of my daughter Veronique, she just caught her first over 50 a few weeks back and now she came out just so she can beat her brother but she beat 74 of us by catching the largest muskie during the inaugural Capital muskies outing. Now she's got herself a beautiful plaque to remembe...

It's been like that forever, the fisherman have it from June untill September then it's the hunters turn. I remember fishing in there during the hunting season and a lot of lead was flying even when no birds were seen, as well as been told by many to actually have some pellets land in their boats. I...

I know quite a few guys who use the Boga grip, it's quite expensive but the scale is accurate and the lip grig part never lets go once locked in place as well it has a swivel so if the fish spins the head of the boga will as well. You can actually use it as a landing tool as well saving your hand fr...

Freaky stuff and somewhat fishing related

I was out fishing for a few hours this am, caught a 10 pound pike and a muskie about as big. :) But that's not the freaky thing, you see I was trolling a large inline bucktail and I wanted to feel it so I grabbed the rod out the holder letting out a few more feet so it doesn't pop out. Now I trolled...

Don't even think about it, you are talking apples to oranges here. Baitcaster rods are completly different then spinning. Everything from much smaller eyelets to having them on top instead of under etc.
