Re: Softwater countdown! What are you dying to try???
I acquired last year a rod and reel that was one of StarTzars who as many know passed away last fall leaving us all too soon. I am looking forward to Bass opener and playing in some weeds with this set up, after a few puffs on a stoagie in honour of Frank! In honor of pops, I'll also light a stogie...

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TWS
Ed @ Paddletales has them, get them while you can
You’re talking leaps and bounds between the Tat SV and Lew’s.
On paper, the Tat SV has superior components, willing to bet the tolerances are tighter, hence a smoother reel.

Two BNIB right hand Steez Limited SV105XH for sale
I've always minded my own business in regards to your classified sales, but the prices you're asking is outrageous knowing how much you're paying for these items from the sales section of stores overseas.
If you at least contributed to the forum as opposed to only trying to flip your tackle.

Re: Deep and Shallow Cranking - Two Different Rods? BASS
Hopefully this makes sense and the spelling isn’t butchered too bad.I had surgery on both eyes yesterday at Hotel Dieu. I have a patch on my right eye and things are a bit blurry in the left, but considering all Icould make out last night was light or dark, things are progressing I made coffee this...

Re: Tournament Fisherman?
Since I’ve started fishing tournaments, I have noticed a considerable incline of “political agendas”, online disputes as to which series are morally superior in regards to fish care, and a generalized patronizing attitude towards rival series. The reality is, anglers will draw their own conclusions,...

Re: Fishing show in Ottawa?
Guys, Don't get me wrong, the in store doo's at Paddletales are great and I have talk about why Ed doesn't go to these shows anymore with him. I get it from his standpoint. Him and Sandy do an amazing job at putting together good deals with excellent pro staff. I'd just love to see this type of thi...

Re: Fishing show in Ottawa?
There’s simply no demand. I remember heading out with my dad back in the early 90’s, and it was great. Then again, back in the 90’s, I also remember ordering from the back of my favorite catalogue, and dial up internet. What I’m saying is, social media, and technology, now compensates for the lack o...

Re: Drag washer grease ??
Rule of thumb, grease the frame bearings, oil the outside ones (spool & side plate). Wtv you do, don't grease the AR bearing lolol, cause that anti-reverse is going bye bye. Grease the worm shaft if you don't plan on doing maintenance at least 2-3 times a season if using oil. Reasoning behind gr...

Re: Drag washer grease ??
Thx again guys do appreciate the insight. I like that these questions get bounced around and thought about ..I keep my reels clean knowing they can last you a lifetime.. the last thing I want is to dye the insides red .. Even if it was just a chance .. its a headache I don't want :D From what I've ...

And good on you for asking/posting, we need more of these posts on FH. This is the fish hawk I grew to love. I always looked forward to this site for advice. I'd rather hear is from a local guy with experience, instead of some guy 3000 miles away. Lots of members here have the knowledge and experie...
