Hi
has anyone fished this stretch of the Montreal River in early season? Looking at possibly heading that way in the spring of 2017 and hoping to get some feedback on the fishing.

[quote="Bass Addict"][quote="TheMaverick"][quote="riverdog"][quote]You'd be shocked how much of a problem it actually is, when I was at sail we were always getting hounded by management to keep on top of people and not to let them get out of sight. Sonars, lures, clothi...

Re: Kars boat ramp condition
I have launched my 17.5 deep V there a few times before. not in the last couple of years though. if nothing has changed your fine. I have a full windshield and can get under the bridge no problem. if you don't like what you see for some reason there is a launch 5 minutes away on the other side. Tayl...

Re: big rideau water levels at boat launches
I launched today at the free public launch in Portland. 17.5 foot boat. I got in and out but it was not easy and I sat 30 yards out for 20 minutes watching this dude trying to get his boat out.

Re: Requesting Feedback on Swim Baits
lvace, the point that I was making is that stating locals are the cause of fish decline is a very controversial statement. Research does attribute over harvesting as a leading cause but it typically is identified further down the list and we'll behind water quality issues and lack of habitat issues....

Re: Requesting Feedback on Swim Baits
that is a pretty bold and generalized statement. Blaming fish decline on locals is somewhere that you shouldn't go IMO based on the many factors potentially involved. Pretty sure you'd have your back up if I suggested tournament anglers were responsible for fish decline. just so we're clear on wher...

Re: Requesting Feedback on Swim Baits
I saw a SMB hork up 2 senkos on the floor of my boat today. I'm betting right about now that dude is feeling pretty good having got rid of them.

robertson lake - lanark county
Hey All
I am heading up to this lake soon for an overnighter. Never been there. Not interested in anyone's hotspots but any info on what opportunities exist would be helpful.
thanks
Mick

Re: trailer tires
I use Carlyle tires and haven't had issues. I do not know what to say about oxidization. 14 year old tires could always use replacement, but 3 year old tires with solid tread on them wouldn't need to be replaced IMO.
