Great fish man but you may want to revisit the regs. The only walleyes that can be kept in that area MUST be BETWEEN 15.7 and 19.7 inches.

Re: Water levels at Muskrat

Ramp has been repaired. They did a great job with it. Just need to watch when ya get out of the hole of the ramp as it is shallow past it. Still shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Cormorant Cull

Have fished the river for over 70 years and the fishing is not what it was years ago. Yes the Bass are larger but quantity is down. There is not the bait fish here now for them to feed on and one of the reasons is the CORMORANTS Not looking for an argument here but the greatest food source to ever ...

Had the toughest day of the year out there there with a Father/Son this past Saturday. 16 Smallmouth for the day. Seems ok to me.

Re: Cormorant Cull

Moved to Brockville 6 years ago and I could not believe the lack of fishing traffic upstream and the lack of fish on the sonar. Then I read a post by a local fisherman saying that even when he scuba dives he sees minimum bait fish. Guess we can join the dots and figure the fishing is not what it us...

Some of the best fishing I've seen on our local waters, likely due to lack of traffic on them. Your post proves that!

Re: Finally, a Cormorant season.

Well time will tell. I'm all for getting rid of them but I'm highly skeptical guys will do it for long. These birds won't decoy I don't think. So it's drive your boat up to a tree and fire? Are there not laws against that? How is that sporting? or exciting?

Re: Ontario Baitfish Management Strategy

Been like that for awhile from the Simcoe area bait. Not much to navigate, know who you are buying from and where they are trapping. It falls more on the trapper than the retailer.

Re: Finally, a Cormorant season.

Found it interesting to see some kick back on this from the scientific community that this policy change was forced in by special interest groups and not science. Apparently there is no data proving the destruction they are thought to cause. I see damage on islands but have no real idea if they are ...

Re: Muskie Experience

You'll need more than baits Billy Bones. You'll need a proper net, rod and reel with min 65 lb lb braid. To cast or troll ANY musky sized bait you will need the proper gear.

Smitty is correct. Where you launch means nothing. Follow the regs of what side you are on and you're good to go with either license.
