Bassin' 4 Bucks - Thanks Crystal

I don't see any B4B reports, so I thought I would take a minute to say thank you to Crystal and Baitcasters for putting on another great event. Of course it never hurts to land in the money. 11'oclock big fish went to Dana (Misses Livewell), and I couldn't be any happier for her. She was a tr...

A little update for folks who still remember this ... The motor is on and running. I outsourced the wiring to a gent named Stuart Logie of Genuine Marine Services. He is a travelling mechanic and came right to the house to wire up the force. He ain't cheap, and he doesn't apologize for it. But he do...

If you guys are shopping for a cheap and easy way to have removable seating, Canadian Tire has a couple of goodies to consider. It is recessed pedestal seating, so there is nothing to trip over when you remove the seat. And the price is pretty fair. http://images.canadiantire.ca/media/images/product...

If you want to make it pretty, I would recommend marine grade carpet from the Chandlery. It's a real upgrade from indoor/outdoor carpet. http://www.thechandleryonline.com Again, if you want it pretty, Cabelas offers a couple of different solutions for livewells. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/tem...

I have run a bilge/ livewell pump for some bait I had in a bucket with a small lawn tractor battery. It ran for 3 days. I would not worry about your cranking battery. As stated, deep cycle for TM, all other connections to cranking battery. BTW, the unit Ed speaks of is a great tool, especially if yo...

Every spring I think of ya as I miss those Rockland launch ice-out pics. Hope you, the "Missus" and the kids are doing well. W. Nice to hear from your Margie. I trust you and Marise are keeping these boys in line. I don't get on here as much as I would like. Not much to report for ...

Mud, I have had good luck with Interlux Brightside, available from the chandlerly. You don't need the anti-foul paint unless your boat sits in a slip most of its life. If it is a trailer princess as mine is, the brightside is plenty. The more prep the better, but how much work you want to put into i...

The memory may be fading, and the mustache may be getting a little grayer, but the enthusiasm abounds.

Good stuff Dave. I like to quietly track how you and Ken make out.

BTW, the yellow birds still see water and still pull hard.

Congrats.

BTW, if you see this boat ... it is The Money Pit. Turns out it floats and catches walleyes. Won't be in Quinte this weekend, but will be back soon.
