3rd week in August and you will be able to catch salmon off of the piers. Port Hope also gets lots of rainbows in.But as mentioned most salmon will run in September,but it depends on when the rains come. The last few years they seem to be darkening up earlier.

Lots of smaller fish you can get from shore. Rock bass to perch as well.

:D Back on the water. Bought a new boat and it took some time to get every thing organized. First trip out and we caught a few fish. :D Mine was $99 at BPS. When in the hut with the camera face down(you hook cord in tail) you can watch panfish bite and set the hoof before you feel the hit. I have one and it works just fine. I have never tried it with the 10 c cell batteries. I clip it with the power cord to a full size trolling motor battery. Ice fishing it comes in handy for looking at the fish bites,type of fish and bottom structure as well as weed edges. I have used it off my boat ...

:D For the sake of a few bucks..go with 200' of cable. There are many times salmon fishing where lines are down 115'-130'.. Guessing lakers could end up deep as well. If you have it you can use it..if you dont.. :wink:
