Re: Brookies in Indian Creek or Indian River?

I can confirm they do stock "Indian Creek" however it is nowhere near the usual spots that are fished. The fish are put in 'roadside' and I honestly doubt that they survive the year... some probably do as wildlife finds a way but that Creek is darn dry by the end of summer and almost froze...

Re: Lifer Longnose Gar

Very Nice - Congrats! This is why my wife constantly laughs at me packing for a trip - even a short one to the river 1.2km away.... almost everything goes with me. Plano box with terminal tackle, box with sinkers, box with floats, box with line - leaders - wire and crimps - box with big hooks, box w...

Darn expensive too!

Gotta figure out how to make them myself... even if just plain white or black I can live without the glitter and crazy colour combos.

Re: Fishing trip any advice?

If you have never gone south and fished in tropical waters then you must do that. If you're going solo and can do last minute there are some really great deals available.

Re: SPL- Soft Plastic Lures

This thread has made me think a bit and I am now starting to work on a protein based senko that will degrade in water within a few days and also will be 100% environmentally friendly. Down side is they will spoil in a few weeks but I usually never have them last that long...lol. I am hoping to get ...

Re: Stockin a Pond

Another factor is if it's a private pond or a public one. Private, ie. no public access ponds are a bit easier than ones that have public access. If private a good business plan will also work wonders when trying to obtain permits. Obtaining a good management plan by a reputable Pond Manager will al...

Re: Success on the Miss

Nice fish - it's a really interesting river if you're willing to go after some of the more unusual stuff. I caught a giant Fallfish once I figured out how to target them. It was crazy huge at 17" (it's a species of chub in the minnow family ... so even 12" is huge) There is also a very div...
