New personal boat
Thought this was informative and just down right would fit many of the needs of a lot of the Fish-Hawk anglers.

Re: Ice conditions
Speaking of freaking thick ice....
I had to shovel off the snow to get through the ice with my Jiffy on the weekend. Near three feet thick for sure. A first I have never had to drill that deep before this year.

Re: Big changes in Quebec...
Ok I think I figured out where I thought I saw a difference but you are right... damn all areas are closed. I thought I read it as Zone 1, 15 etc when it fact it is Zone 1-15 inclusive. This will totally suck. Guess the Ottawa river will get pounded worse then usual. La fermeture de la pêche d’hiver...

Re: Big changes in Quebec...
This will not effect the ice fishing in the lakes close to us... if you read the information carefully they only apply to certain areas... only area 11 is close to us. Thank God!

Re: Number of lines
Only one other item that needs to be added to this discussion is that in Ontario you can fish without a license if you have an Ontario Disability Parking card. You can photocopy it and you must have it in your possession. This is not recognised in Quebec or on the Quebec side of the river. In Quebec...

Re: Mr. Buddy Heater Problems
My problem was also resolved with the stick the qtip with alcohol in the gas hole to clean it out... probably had a spider web or something.
BTW I also use a 5lb propane tank and filter with hose and even that pressue was unable to expel the blockage.

Mr. Buddy Heater Problems
Ok I give up... I have a Mr. Buddy heater that worked like a charm for the past three seasons and then this year... ????? It seems like the fuel is not getting out from tank to nozzle. Tried everything I know and no improvements. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Anyone do any repairs on...

Re: Eating Walleye at Shirleys bay
Shirleys or Petrie it is all the Ottawa river... generally a very tempermental environment for fishing. Find a good spot and return and you will probably get fish ... but finding good spots can be like a needle in a haystack... lots of water to cover. Gotta love the hunt as much as the harvest.
