The weight difference between a 2 and 4 stroke 15hp is likely about 20-35 lbs which isn't alot but sitting right on the transom will make a definite difference. I would consider a hydrofoil on the motor which should help both the holeshot and give you an improved and more level ride while running.

I don't know about the other years but Sept 15 2007 is the first day for duck hunting in this region on the Quebec side. It's called Youth Hunting Day. So if you hear "Duck" Well you know!!!!!!!! Lochaber is a fav. for duck hunters. . Might be an idea to have a later start?? I don't know ...

You should be good to go with a 70 or 80 lb minn kota 24 volt motor and you won't require the third battery unless you're procraft is 20 ft or more, then you may want to consider a 101.
