Re: Oh Joy Oh Joy
I have no issues with the tourney free for all going on in this area. My only thoughts are is that if you kill your fish, take them yourself. Don't stuff them under the dock. Don't pile them beside the scale hoping for someone else to deal with them. If you are unwilling to deal with a fish you kil...

Re: Oh Joy Oh Joy
And this is my point. Instead of even just considering for a split second if 3 weekends in a row may be a bit too much for a given lake (which is the main complaint here), the response is 'FU we will do what we want when we want to' So back to the original post. You want a public place all to ...

Re: Oh Joy Oh Joy
Valley bass was there last week with 23 teams. I think a little empathy goes a long way and it's IMO sad to see none given most times in these circumstances. It's funny how on one topic entitlement is the enemy yet on another it's every ones defense. I have no issues with the tourney free for all go...

Re: Bowfishing
This will be a touchy subject here, so be prepared for that
As far as I know it's mostly a carp thing around here, and lots of guys do it. Here's a great article OOD put out.

Re: Future star and a bit of an ouchie...
Explain again how you got that hook out (I'm mentally preparing myself for one, I'm due). You pushed it through until the barb was out, then cut the tip, then pulled it back? Yes, this is it exactly. I pushed the point through past the barb, cut the hook below the barb then pulled back out the othe...

Re: Gord Pyzer sets the record straight on catch limits
Plenty of ignorance in this thread sure enough. No one here has suggested banning catch and release  But since these arguments are being thrown around here is an interesting question. Do you think the sport of fishing would perish faster if we banned keeping fish or banned C&R. From what I ...

Re: Gord Pyzer sets the record straight on catch limits
Enjoying what this planet has to offer is no more an argument to harvest fish than it is an argument for catch and release. Um, it kind of is, if you like to eat some of the fish that you catch, which I gather from the steam coming from your ears that you must not  It's a funny topic kindof. T...

Thanks gang! Yes he is enjoying it for sure and surprisingly doesn't get too upset letting fish go. Sarah on the other hand is not a fan. I have to do it after when she's not in the boat
Sorry about the hook picture

I believe I have heard there are giant largies in that lake. This almost confirms it. Nice fish for sure.

Future star and a bit of an ouchie...
I've been spending as much time as I can in the boat lately. For me, that's not much  I've been taking Matthew out whenever he wants and the winds aren't blowing which has been the case a lot of weekends. He turned 3 the end of May and is doing pretty good lately lasting about an hour each trip...

I'm not sure what the big deal is. Plenty of 'partridge' in Ontario too.....
If you someone actually cares what people call them then they must live a pretty stressful life haha.

Re:
I would think any fish over the slot of 19.7 inches goes home with the angler, that is a good reason why many are not caught above that size. -sheldon I know this is an old thread resurrected but..... I have recently taken up residence on one of these lakes with this size limit and this is 100% the...
