I also tried them - ordered a a few frabill 261 combos as none were available in local shops - they did have the adjustable drag and free spool options, they were also plastic. I did not care for them and still prefer the spinning reel. My advice would be to see if you can try one before you buy one.

That's Funny Animal - the guy that made that map is the guy pictured in the post (not me).

I accessed huff's from huff's rd and shermans from bayview boat launch. Both are on that map.

As for finding them...your guess is as good as mine. They are all over the bay

Finally got a chance to get up to Quinte for an ice fish, and did a marathon trip. Was on the ice with 2 buddies at Huffs before sun up. some good points there Choke. As far as bait, I definitely agree, it's hard to beat minnows. If you are seeing big pike, get big bait - suckers, shiners, use a big flashy spoon to attract them, also doesn't hurt to put a tipup nearby your jigging setup. For night fishing, I'd say it's great for wall...
