Have had luck this year fishing close to the weedline and casting back to open water while the other guy gets right in the weeds.

Have a friend whose been on the lake for 30+ years, he's only ever caught 2 salmon. One was on an orange mooseluck spoon, the other he can't remember cause he was 7. Thinks it was on a minnow and treble.

Have yet to ever try for any walleye.

They are dark for sure.
