Re: Are there fish in the Rideau?
Rideau has not been great to me this year.....actually starting to hate it there. i always found topwater worked well in the evenings. also cant go wrong with a senko. Lots of lakes around suitable for a small boat. maybe be a bit further of a drive but well worth it, for a day of fishing. are you l...

Re: Terrova or xi5
I've never heard anyone complain about minn kota...can't say the same about motor guide. but i guess all depends on who you talk to.
Also the minn kota can be serviced on ottawa.
what type of boat are you putting it on?

Netting Bass?
Just curious how you guys net a partners bass. Fishing alone you basically guide her in, but when your buddies fish is in your hands to land her how do you net it? . Do you put the net in water and guide the fish in or do you scoop last second? Largemouth seem a bit easier, but smallies on light tac...

Re: Fluorocarbon leaders for bass
I use braid on everything but i do tie on fluoro on mono leader on some rods. On bait casting rods I'll use leaders shock absorption and I find it gets tangled less around hooks especially with walking the dog baits. As for spinning gear i use it fluoro for abrasion resistance and yes because it is ...

Crushing Gar with RJ
So decided to try something a little different this year with clients. Instead of the usual golf outing I decided to book RJ for a day and target some gar. My two clients (Steve and Chris) were more than excited to go. I showed up the ramp 5 minutes late to Steve returning to his car with a hand ful...

Re: I've met Luke
I had the pleasure of joining Maverick on that Day. Meeting Luke was a real treat. Down to earth guy, Fun to Shoot the crap with and in the short period of time we all talked fishing you really started to see how much knowledge these pros have. Also how busy their life is. Guy had to take numerous f...

Re: Bass tournament anglers an opportunity is here.....
I don’t mean for this post to bash the series, its not my intention at all. But since the can of worms has been opened I’ll offer my view on the series and why I decided not to join. I recently got into tournament fishing a few years ago and right away was drawn to the series. You get a chance to co...

Re: Bass gear questions
I have been trying to think of a way to respond to this without giving you too many conflicting bits of info. The more you fish the more of a style you will develop. What works for you may not work for someone else. For example my recommendations could be different from the Maverick...and i seek his...
