New Spots on the Rideau

Hey Fish-Hawkers ... As the posts states, I'm looking for some new areas to fish on the Rideau. Has anybody done much fishing below Black's Rapids? I was thinking of trying the section from Black's to Mooney's. I know people catch lots of good fish at the dam, but has anybody caught much in the rest...

A good shore location in your area is the launch a Kars. You can fish from the big dock and cast out to the old bridge supports. Try using a Bulldawg to give the something different to look at. Live bait works well ... just ask any of the kids that leave the pearch on too long

Brook Trout - Palmerson Lake Area

I'm off to OMPA this weekend to do a little lake trout fishing in Palmerson. At one time, they use to stock a little lake that was just across the east end of the lake...remember fishing it from a canoe. Does anyone know if they still stock that lake? or are there any other brook trout waters in the...

Nice fish Ransom...great way to start your season. I had two follows under the bridge, but they didn't look as big as that girl!

Great job!

Hoser...let me know if you get it fixed...I have the same problem with mine.

Expect to take a look at this weekend and if it looks like trouble, might be taking a drive down to Kingston.

Boat doesn't get put to bed until Muskie season ends or the water freezes! And since we've got members out there who actually clear the snow off of the ramps, it's usually the hard water that ends the season. I'll be on the Rideau Friday and most of next week. I always take a week off during muskie ...
