Headed out to the Miss with Dano on what turned out to be a pretty nice day... weather wise. ;) Even though we marked lots of fish in the 20ft range and tried different presentations, the fish were very finicky today. They would race in, look at the bait for a while, then take off without even a nib...

I'm usually like that for any fishing trip. When I do eventually fall asleep, I'm casting and jigging in my sleep... then I wake up from time to time when I hook into the big one. Bits & Baits has some Frabill Sub Zero Multi Purpose Low Temp Lubricant which is good for reels and tip-ups.
Not as good an option but do-able is to use regular reel oil but just use very little so it doesn't freeze up.
Also get rid of any clumps of grease inside the reel.
