Same weights different lengths. Your reel will be fine. I run a Shimano 2000 Sahara on mine no probs. You live right around the corner from me and Markus we should hook up for a fish sometime..

The Bob Izumi Series is limited to the 10'6" noodle rod but you can still get a 12'6" Shimano i believe its call a Convergence. I barely use my St Croix noodle rod anymore i like my Shimano that much!!

I'm with Triple F on this one... Whitefish is hard to beat.. Then pike, then any of the panfish... rockbass is always a good choice... ITS ALL GOOD!!! :wink:
