Great ready for the latest fad in fishing lines....Flurocarbon...It has been around for a while but has gone relatively un-noticed. The advantages of Flurocarbon are simply this, it is invisible in the water because the flurocarbon does not refract light like Mono. Also, flurocarbon has way less str...

The Rideau River also has Walleye but I think the numbers are not that great but than again I fished for Bass and Muskie only on the Rideau...

This would be great if Ontario did it province wide because then you won't have to wait for midnight on Saturday to fish. This would be really nice...

Iceman, Great tips on how to keep the costs down. All, No comment on the Spider line as I have never used the stuff. In terms of braided line I have used tuff line, fireline and power pro. All are good. I just wanted to comment on Power Pro. The reason it is so popular is the aggressive marketing th...

SteveG, Fly fishing is a unique type of fishing. It can really fun and rewarding but it can also be fustrating, especially in the beginning. This is why some people view it as an art. The number one thing your need to have when fly fishing is patience. You cannot rush a cast. The longer you want the...

Nice pics. Brings back memories. This was the first year in a long time that I missed out on the Trout season opener. I guess there are other things I am going to miss now that I am a dad.

Oh well, great memories.

Cheers,

Mike

Just figured out waht this forum is all about. Had the pleasure last year of camping at the Provincal park on Balsam in mid June. Had an Awesome week fishing. We couldn't go wrong. We were chucking Walleye divers along weed edges/drop offs. Basically look for areas where it went from 5 to anyway fro...
