Re: Canoe fishing

Hi joco! Haven't posted in a while, but I can relate to this thread! I got my canoe a few years ago.... then started adding gear, without any permanent modifications to the canoe. That's a great day on the water for sure and a nice clinic put on, but...

I am *not* going to Quinte!!

Thinking small water, obviously... or small river(s). How's the Rideau for boat traffic these days? I can deal with musky trollers... not keen on joy-riders!

I'd like to get out in the canoe one last time... Sunday is probably a better day for me. Any interest?

Nice catch! Bluegills would be fun for sure!

I'm still waiting for my first on the fly! It was a little too windy to attempt it this past weekend.

Also, some sweet looking flies from that link!

cheers,

Craig.... yeah, that's the obvious choice but I'd like to get something to slow down the drift instead of hold me in one spot. Also, don't want to pull up too many weeds, etc. Sigh... I guess I'll just have to rig it up so I can throw an electric onto it!! 8) I never understood largies as a source o...

I think it's mostly a bass & pike lake... I don't remember hearing anything about muskie there. I'm going to be taking my nephew out fishing for a day in my canoe... was thinking of Constance given its size. Thoughts?

I was at LLP this past weekend as well. Camped Fri-Sun. Got one nice LM in the 3lb range, but not much else. Not very much time spent on the water trying to get them... Anyone at the launch Sunday between 12:00-1:00? I saw one tiny with an electric and 3 guys with a couple of chains of largies. Also...
