Hi John...my thoughts on this... The Hobie pro-anglers are great, but they are heavy. At 100lbs - in my view, you basically need two people to load on top of your car (even this can be a challenge), and depending on where you plan to fish, finding that second person to help out might not be the case...

Hey...I'm in the same boat... My wife is English (from England) and does the same thing...book, sun and a cup of tea (yes brings a thermos of hot tea on the boat...even in the summer  ) I think if I can get her to hook into a fish... things would change. Where abouts on the Ottawa are ...

We're gonna give the Ottawa a try, @Arnprior, where Madawaska runs into the Ottawa.

I've been on this part once before... hazardous if I remember correctly... :?

Troll the points, break lines, etc.

Wish us luck...

Musky - help

Looking for some Musky help... haven't posted for awhile... I don't usually fish for musky, but a co-worker has convinced me to give it a go with him this coming Tuesday... (he caught a 48" years ago, and has been hooked ever since, but has had no opportunity to go since...) Look for gen...

Sheldon, I really enjoy reading your posts and your technical approach to fishing. I was at the Kashwakamak Lake this past weekend, looking for walleye. Deep lake...The jig approach didn't work  Funny at the lodge, there was a walleye magazine - I read an article on locating walleye by Takasa...

McCreary’s Beach Resort

Anyone been to McCreary's Beach Resort on Mississippi Lake?

Plan on taking the family up this summer. Looking for reviews (good or bad) from anyone who's been up.

Thanks,
Cman

Kashwakamak Lake weekend coming up.

The weekend at Kashwakamak Lake is now posted on FH main page, and is coming up soon.

There is 10 going so far. I’m considering, but I’ll be the 11th and will have to sleep in the car

Anyone else thinking of going? Boat and lodge details to work out, but there is still time.

You forgot to mention the handy work of the net man 8)

Chilling weather...but was a good day overall. It was definitely your day to be in the spotlight

Thanks,
