Re: Sportspal Mod Advice

good find. I was able to pick up a sportspal 12footer cheap and it cost me less than $100 to get it looking sharp and new. Most expensive part was replacing the sponsons.Theyre $50 at sail.I also picked up the sportspal foam seats at sail. cost me $25 for the pair.. watch out for paint sales.also t...

Re: St Lawrence conditions

I have seen photos of actual debris, such as metal poles, deadheads and the occasional dock.

I'm sure it varies around different parts, but prob still something to be super cautious about.

Sportspal Mod Advice

I scored a sweet deal on a 12 pointed Sportspal. The foam inlay is in pretty good shape and I'll be able to keep, no missing ribs. The sponsons are degraded and need to be replaced. I did source out how much buying insulation wrap for pipes and when I factored in that cost, plus new hardware, I deci...

Re: Procedure with OOS fish

I caught what was close to my PB pike on Sunday. Broke my heart not to be able to get a nice picture with her. If I had been more on the ball and not freezing my butt off I would have taken pics while she was being unhooked. So that might be a good way. If you can unhook them while they're still in ...

Re: Do You Have the Time, to Listen to me Whine..

Thanks for empathizing everyone. Sometimes I feel a bit crazy. I keep doing the same thing and I'm getting the same results... the days are a blur. Need to switch things up! I vote you take one more full day on the ice, run-n-gun, pound it til ya drop. You are due for a reprieve. Good luck!! Def nee...

Do You Have the Time, to Listen to me Whine..

About nothing and everything all at once? So I've been on a laker-hunt.. 5 outings in a row. El-Skunko each time. I know they're there... the fish that is.... My fishing buddy has caught at least one, 4 of the 5 times we've been. His hole, three feet away from mine. Bait fish are constant, or I move...

LF: Boater For Renegade Open - Muskrat Lake

I love the Scrat and would like to do the Renegade Open happening on there this year. It's on Sunday, 30-July-17. Will split gas and oil costs, as well as entry fee. And I will provide a yummy lunch complete with home baking :character-chef: I have my own car and can meet up anywhere. As well as my ...

Re: Access to Limestone in the winter

I *THINK* this is the Limestone I hiked into a couple of Aprils ago, as there are three Limestone lakes all within kind of the same areas. (There's Big and Little Limestone, as well as this Limestone, called just plain-old Limestone). If so, it was about an hours' hike each way with some really hill...

Re: HT 2017 Ice Tour - Sail Ottawa, Saturday February 11th

t was not complaining, i just did not want to make the trip for nothing. Don't think R.J meant you Kevin... he was directing that more likely to the inevitable thread that would start this year with folks complaining the show didn't contain enough fishing stuff (myself included!  ) now i...

Re: Calabogie trip- room for one or two

Love this! Threads such as this one is what FH is all about! :D Already have plans this weekend, but would love to hook up with you guys another time. I've explored a few lakes up in that area, and didn't have fabulous success, but this is another season, in a different month/time period, so I'm bet...
