Joco.. thanks for the link. I found exactly what I was looking for. Everything I read there said the seat will fit, but you have to force it a bit and they all gave little bits of advice.. One in particular stood out and I'm surprised I hadn't thought of it myself. I must be gettin' old. It went som...

try using a bar of carbolic soap..I buy mine at the local health food store.
just rub the dry bar of soap where ever you need the protection. Works like a charm for me, but everyones body chemistry is different. Good luck

fish cat 4 float tube

I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I've got a fish cat 4 float tube and am having trouble with the foam that goes in place for the seat. The first piece goes in ok, (as per the instructions) but, I can't seem to get the second piece in. I called the manufacturer and they say it should fit, but...

1 piece rods

I've been online looking for a new rod and there seems to be a definate trend towards 1 piece rods. The only positive I can think of is that they'd probably be more sensetive but it's a bigtime drawback trying to transport them. Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you

I guess I'd have to consider myself a 'lurker'. It seems that the vast majority of the posts come from eastern or southern Ont, and since I live in the Sault and don't seem to get out fishing nearly as much as the regular users on this site, I don't have a lot to contribute. It's that simple That be...

Steve. I don't know enough about this project to have an opinion one way or the other, BUT, as you stated " Here studies are taken to figure out what the heck to do with these toxic fish....notice eating them isn't an option. burying them isn't even an option as THEY ARE TOO TOXIC " How ca...

My loving wife gave me a week long "fly in" package for 2 into Kaby lodge ( north of Wawa). I'm really looking forward to flying in and I don't have the heart to tell her it's accessible by train. Any idea's as to what I should start the bidding at for the second seat?? I'm sure she'd cons...

transformer vs charger

I picked up a small transformer style charger for a 12V 7aH battery that I have. It's rated for 12V 1A. After looking at it, I started wondering what the difference would be (if any)between a charger and a transformer, aside from the wire and alligators clips

I don't pretend to be an expert on the subject of world record fish, but it seems to me that by the time you man handled it and hauled it around trying to find a scale that would be recognized by whoever determines world records, I'm thinking the poor fish would probably be past the point of no retu...

another option is a stinger hook. I like to use a small # 10 treble hook. it's not very often you'll miss the light biters with a treble as a stinger

Seems to me the only thing a coloured line would do is let the angler see the line better. In a case like this, I'd always tie on at least a 3 or 4 ft leader of fluorocarbon

instead of a piece of plastic tubing, I use a hole punch and punch out the plastic lid of a coffee can. It serves 2 purposes...keeps the minnow on the hook better and it also adds a bit of colour if I think it's needed. The red and orange tabs seem to work especially well

Bruin..I can't count how many times I've driven by the boardwalk and seen 6 or 7 guys trying to fish off the little extension. I don't know how they do it in that small space and not get their lines tangled. The funny thing is, I've never seen anyone pull a fish out of there...(not like the tailrace...
