Got out fishing yesterday around 9am in the Ottawa area, managed to find some 4.5'' clear ice. As the day went on the ice progressively got thinner, caught this pike around 4pm through 3 inches of ice. what a fight. Setting the bar high early.

where about do you fish for specs in this area? i'm from thunder bay and have fished for specs out of my kayak in small rivers, tons of fun. i have a canoe here in ottawa, wouldn't mind going for some trout, and whats the season for them here?

drove down to port hope this weekend for some salmon fishing, what a blast. nothing better than your reel just screaming.
