Re: Pike or Musky bit after a snag
I dunno guys... I was pulling this snag hard. But I really don't know how else it happened, literally if he took the lure and I was pulling at him he felt just like a certain snag on a log... So weedy... I've seen it first hand where my buddy has gotten snagged, the second it popped free it was hit...

Re: Trolling motor
mine does not do that, or seem to retain any water at all If you have a Minnkota, chances are you just haven't noticed. I haven't seen a MK that hasn't done it. Next time you pull your motor out of the water, wait for the water to stop dripping and before you lock it in place, point the prop to the...

I don't buy his apology at all....huge fine and a few year ban IMO.

Re: mystery tackle box
Brian, I got the same thing as you (or VERY Close, my crank is a diff color I think)
and I'm really happy with what I got
ya, you know what, I don't get 8 plastics of each, but I get 3-4 and it's enough for me to try it
I am happy overall, no complaints

Re: setting the hook
it's a bit of a trick question IMO...maybe someone will have a different opinion, but what I've found is that different presentations/hooks as well as your rod/line require different hooksets if you're using something with treble hooks, such as a crank, and you are using a fast rod with braid for ex...

Re: Grease for bait caster
I've done a curado E7 and E5 using reel butter a month or two ago...both new oil and grease...I took them apart, cleaned them (reasonably) and relubed them...I am planning a full tear down, soaking and relube this winter...maybe a paint job too...I was surprized just how dirty they were inside the s...
