live bait defineatly works better for me .But as per previous posts some trips , live bait can be tough to manage.

I do have a pail of Gulp in the garage but hardly use it .

Is there a life span ? the pail is almost two years old.

FH posts

Glad to see the number a quality of posts recently. Unfortunatly my work doesn't bring me into the Ottawa region as much as it used to .
Hence my lack of visits to this fine neighbourhood.

Keep up the good work and post more Pictures ! :D

Thanks for the reply JSDX will give it a try .

Plan on slow troll with electric ( bringing spare battery) as my main motor won't go slow enough. Also have access to a canoe , so once I know some depths may give that a try .

Will report next week

Backcountry Lakers - Tips needed!

Planning a trip this weekend into a lake in the valley that we typically focus on Smallies but would love to spend a few hours looking for lakers as it is a stocked lake as from what I can see half the boats seem to be fishing ( trolling) for lakers. With no downriggers or lead core what's my best o...

Second Trip in as many years to this lake hadn't been since late 70's early 80's ( old  )

Nice adventure , not a lot of big fish (usually) but lots of action . half the boats there are after lakers ( 100 ft plus deep)
May give em a go some time.

Can't wait till the next trip in.
