Lots of creative types out there I know. With new boat a few weeks away I was wondering how evryone keeps there hard earned possesion in thier possession. I know what you mean WIG, we will anchor out from shore at the inlaws cottage on Simcoe only when calm . I can walk from the boat to shore easily , 3 feet water sand bottom . As soon as the wind picks up I can't relax , checking the boat every 5 minutes or so . Only lost it once and neighbor down th...

Have tried searching for this as I presumed there must have been many discussions in the past but ..no luck .So here goes. Wacky for sure, mild , rain , cold , mild , snow ....... Although local hut operator only claims she lost a week :shock: Ice is pretty good now , we were mile out from Beaverton in a suburban on the weekend ,over 20 inches solid ice. Lots of dangerous spots if you don't check with the hut operators.

Derby Winner

Attended a local get together that raises money for a local family to assist in the care of thier autistic child. Lots of fun , great weather although not a lot of fish. Musky Mike tied for second place with a 12" perch.winner was only 1/2" larger :( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v302/...

Depends on where you go . Some areas you need road passes as well as camping permits . Other areas seem less controlled. We have more than once slept in the vehicle when arriving late on a friday night. Also have camped on islands. Keeping it low key and low impact is the key . Setting up tents etc ...

Restoule has Musky ?
Been there a couple of times and focused on Bass may need to throw in a couple of heavier rods in the boat this year .
New to Musky fishing , have only a couple of incidental catches . Hope to improve on that this year .

Need to name the new boat ( only 49 more sleeps till April !)

The old Springbok was FINTOIL can't name the Lund that bad luck for sure .
Maybe FINTOIL II.
