Re: Perth/Smith's Falls shore fishing recomendations for a v

Ya a cottage or motel would be good, just googling around now looking at prices, we're thinking either mid july or mid august, depending on what my husband can get off at work. Since we don't know the town, we don't wan to end up at a spot where we aren't allowed to fish. I saw a place called Stewar...

Perth/Smith's Falls shore fishing recomendations for a vaca

Hi everyone, We're looking at taking a little mini vacation or overnighter in the area. We don't have a boat, but would like to take our 3 kids to a few spots for some shore fishing. Any recommendations on any spots we can try or any places we can stay that has lake or river access? We don't want to...

Hi everyone,

I know I don't post much here, but if you've seen this video that's going viral...those are my kids :D YouTube is my son's favourite website, so to see the video going viral is totally blowing his mind. We're hoping to hit 500,000 views :)

Re: Need some tips :<

Marking. We haven't been having any luck from shore either. I think all the fish must be in deeper water that we just can't cast to?

Re: Catfish have spines?

Ya, they are nasty. I won't let my kids unhook catfish cause I don't want them to get nailed and end up with a nasty infection. Good idea about the hand sanitizer.

Lac Georges, Alfred-Plantagenet?

Been trying to find some info on this place, but Google isn't really telling me anything at all. Has anyone been there? Is there a boat launch, or a beach, or anything?

Re: How do you find fishing spots without a boat?

Well thanks everyone for all the nice replies and emails! I didn't know this was an Ottawa forum, not even sure how I found my way here in the first place LOL I do hop the border into Hawkesbury, Alexandria, and Lancaster often though. I cruised around Hawkesbury today on my way home from doing groc...

Re: How do you find fishing spots without a boat?

I should have mentioned where I live I suppose, I have never heard of the above places. I'm out west off the island of Montreal, the whole area is called vaudreuil-Soulanges. I'm right on the Qc./On. border.

How do you find fishing spots without a boat?

Since my kids and I got into fishing a few months ago, we've been trying to find a few new spots to try other than the public wharfs that we are mostly at. I have been combing over Google maps looking for little lakes, ponds, or rivers that we could check out, but pretty much every single time we ge...
