Re: Midnight seat open for zone 12.

A couple PM's but no bites yet.

I should explain, it will be out of East Gatineau.

An ON or QC lic will work.

   Those wee parts! Dale, send it out to Shimano is you don't end up getting it figured out, no sense in letting it sit on a shelf.. Small room, on a towel, the towel keeps the parts from flying. Fun stuff Eh?! :P Got it all sorted out! And Mav, that's some serious distance!!! Lol

Re: Be Prepared

I saw 3 SAR units today on the Ottawa, near parliament hill.
No other details to share, as I was driving, yet it appeared to be a search in progress.

It may have simply been a training exercise as well.

Be safe!

Oddly enough, that is exactly how the conversation went when I was told to do it this way.

Ha! Very good idea!

Fumble, and recovery of my Stradic ci4. Phew!

Me, being me, decided to strip down my stradic today and give it some love. Well I even decided to sort out the bail spring too. Imagine my horror when I loosened the spring side bail screw and it exploded and parts went flying. Insert high pitched girly man squeal now! Searched fo my schematic, tha...

Re: Ottawa River Water Temps

I don't have this week, but Saturday was 46-47 degrees kettle island stretch, it has dropped again in water level, so shores will be warming nicely now.

Re: Northern pike questions

A red lipless crank bait and a purple hot 'n tot storm lure were my go to baits last spring, slow retrieve with a pause and get ready for the hit! Wham! If you are a boater cast to the shore and retrieve back, or find the very edge of the weed line. They will be hiding in the edge ready to strike. T...

Need a recommendation in the Gatineau area

Looking to find someone to just have a thorough once over my outboard. A little background info, it is a 60HP 2stroke 3 cylinder Mariner. Likely an 89 It was converted from an oil tank to mixed fuel. I am seeing oil running from the top leg down the leg and assuming my oil mix is a little heavy. The...

Re: Fish Tagging

Photograph and measure them. I suspect you will notice unique marks, scars, ripped lips or torn fins that can help identify each fish. Just like us, I suspect each pattern will be slightly different. Zoom in on a key area like eyes and gills and snap a photo and use a unique area as a reference poin...
