Hard to suggest anything without seeing or at least knowing the diameter of the drain hole, like suggested above you might have to inlarge it a bit and install a new drain fitting, clean the area real good and use 3M 5200 marine adhesive around the new fitting and screw holes, something like this: h...

There is a very very small hole in front of the lower unit, try blowing it with some air, if that doesn't work, get a single strand from downrigger cable of brake cable and try that, you'll know when it clears because some water and gunk will come out. DO NOT use a thicker wire then the hole because...

I had a cable steer and hated it, constantly had to keep my foot on the pedal to track straight otherwise it had a mind of its own  I could only use it when I am up front, traded it in for a power drive with co pilot and couldn't be happier, it tracks straight, the pedal comes with 20' cable a...

40 lb will do the job on a 14' boat
don't forget you'll have to carry a good size(50 to 70 lbs) deep cycle battery to last you the day.

I own a 2003 Crestliner Fish Hawk 1650sc, it suites my needs for now, I love the boat, great layout, fish-ability and fit & finish, However I am not impressed by latest models of Crestliner(2005 and newer) and I don't like it when some one tells me that I can not put a motor of my choice on MY b...

Downeast Salties will take the punishment but they are rough on the reels/rods, I use RAM 114B for large dipsys, they are plenty strong but a little hard to get the rod out under pressure(salmon fishing), not a big problem and you can't beat the price IMO. http://www.custommounts.com/RAM_Fishing_Rod...
