Re: New pike lake New records
Wow, that's awesome!!!! Honestly, I'd just be happy finding a spot where I could try out my fly rod and catch Pike half that size! Never caught one before and since moving from BC they are on my hit list!!!!!

Re: Alabama rigs legal in Canada?
Whether it works or not, that has to be the most ridiculous looking thing ever made. Am I the only one who would feel embarrassed tying that thing onto my line? I think I'd rather get skunked than to fish with that, LOL

Re: porpoising
If you have power trim you won't want a pin in there as it will stop your engine from trimming all the way down. Trimmed all the way down is how it should be positioned when you first start up and then once you are on plane you would start trimming up to gain speed, RPM's and to set the best running...

Re: porpoising
A pin? Don't you have power trim on that setup? If your prop is blowing out you'll hear and feel the revs spin way up as the prop loses grip. Is that happening? Also, what's the max HP rating for the boat? Perhaps the 90 is just too much engine both HP power and weight wise. That could introduce per...

Re: St. Lawrence near Long Sault
Thanks for the replies folks! We ended up launching at Long Sault Marina and we didn't really stray too far West of there, maybe 2-3KM or so. Long story short, we didn't get a sniff, LOL. Heck, I wasn't even marking many fish on the Humminbird. I did stop in a little back bay and tried to entice a p...

Re: St. Lawrence near Long Sault
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Flooded, do you know if most of the boat launches down that way are decent? I have a 16 foot aluminum that is pretty easy to launch and I don't mind paying for a day launch.

St. Lawrence near Long Sault
Hi everyone, I was hoping to get out for the day on Saturday and I was thinking of heading down to the Long Sault area on the St. Lawrence. I think I'd probably launch at one of the Provincial campgrounds down in that area. Having never fished that area before, can anyone give me some idea of what t...
