Re: Why the big secret?
I cant stand people that lie. Even if its about a fishing spot. If you dont want to tell me your spot then just say it. I totally agree! I sometimes play dumb and ask questions I know the answers to, to determine the honesty/integrity of the people I bump into. It's a,amazing how many people steer ...

Re: Why the big secret?
I have no problem sharing with people who have developed a reputation on-line. Sharing in private with those who have a reputation is safe as some of the spots are pressured and all it takes to ruin a good spot or rare fish (like some red horse) is someone to post it on reedit or hit forward. I have...

Re: PB Pike
Nice fish! I'm still looking for a Pike this season

Re: Rideau @ Chapman Mill Conservation Area
There is a lot of pressure in the area. Lots of people fishing it all the time.
I have never caught anything there but I have not tried that hard. You may have better luck at the black rapids.

Not much to some here but this more than doubled by previous PB.
I was casting heavy lures for Pike and Muskie and this guy hit my 'Lil Ernie like a freight train.
19 inches ~4.5 lbs (estimated)

Re: Fishing spot for an evening fish around Ottawa
I was at Shirley bay last night on the shore.... As long as the wind is low you should be OK. I had good luck with the catfish but nothing else seemed to be biting. One of them was about 5 lbs. Still looking for my 10 pounder, sigh :( It does get kind of shallow so I'd be mindful of the prop. It was...
