Re: Big Rideau/Portland info
No riggers needed as long as you have a decent sonar. Locate bait balls with fish under them and jig for em',1oz jig, 4-5" swimbait.

Re: Fluorocarbon leaders for bass
No leaders for me, straight flouro
I hate that braid/mono floats, which leads to it bowing/sagging in the water, I want my line directly down to the bait. I also fish flouro on my Alabama Rigs.

I got apparel coming in, a few Megabass Pony Gabots, Magdraft and Magslow. I still need line, really wanting to try J-Braid. Also looking to unload some more, be on...

Re: Softwater countdown! What are you dying to try???
DRT Klash & Tiny Klash, Haven't been this excited about a bait in a long long time, the different configurations of this bait are pretty much endless. Can you rotate the tails on those Brad? Again so see you are sticking with the 'small' swim bait variety this season. Two different styles of ta...

Karl is with Strike King so I don't think he would be fishing a Storm product, it was probably the Linders!smitty55 wrote:Pretty sure it was Karl Kalonka of Extreme Fishing that I recently saw using those baits. He was plugging them big time and doing great.

Re: Deep and Shallow Cranking - Two Different Rods? BASS
IMO line choice alone is worth having more the one setup, being able to find tune your depth with line makes a huge difernce IMO. e.g running 20/25lb fluoro to give you the ability to fish a square bill shallower over grass. This is a good video about rod tapers, he's talking about swimbait rods, bu...
