Hate to be the only disenter here, but try a Lazer Strikemaster auger. You won't get them for $30 at Walmart, if you're lucky you can get one on sale at a tackle shop for $80-90, but it makes the Swede and the Finn lfeel like junk. Pay the extra money once, good for life. Hell, the Lazer replacement...

When trolling Erie for Bows, I usually catch a few walleye on the dipseys or sliders with spoons.
Northern King 28's, or Michigan Stingers do well, nailed a few on Nasty Boys in Purple/Black last year. Tip the treble with a worm to increase your %age.
