Re: Best Daiwa for Jerk Baits

I would say that its the supertuned version yes but not sure if its the supertuned version of the MX or 1016......I would just buy the MX and then buy the SV spool separate and save $100-$150. I though about the T3 SV but I am not sure I can drop that kind of cash on a reel yet! Obviously, I ordere...

Re: Best Daiwa for Jerk Baits

For the price the MX is without a doubt the best value. The MX is just so close to a 1016 that it really makes no sense to me at least to spend the extra on the 1016. I think really the only difference is the 1016 comes with a better spool (the 1016 spool), they both weigh about the same and I thin...

Re: Best Daiwa for Jerk Baits

Biggs,

Is the Daiwa T3 SV 6.3R-TW the supertuned version of the MX?
Sure looks like it. From what I read.

I like my reels to have Brass Gears ..... they match my "Christmas Ornaments".

Re: Best Daiwa for Jerk Baits

I knew you were going to chime in.
The 3D magnaforce braking system is what got me interested in the Daiwa.
Why the MX? What is the difference between it and the regular T3?
Are they considered as being finesse type reels?

Not talking $$$ and Tools will keep Jimmy away.

Best Daiwa for Jerk Baits

I'd like some feedback from owners of the T3 Daiwa reels. I'll be purchasing 2 new reels this winter. I want a frogging reel and a reel for jerk baits (mostly 110's). The frogging reel will probably be a Chronarch CI4 or the Team Lew’s Gold Speed Spool (Ed has them on sale for $215). I was looking a...

I love it. I want to have little Craig/Bass babies with it. They would be called Crass.
Then the river would be full of little CrassTards.

Re: Well, Shimano is winning me over again.

On man, That is a list of awesome reels that I "want". Zonda 68 Lin 10 Meteor Hyper Lariat Aldebaran BFS These are all reels I have been longing to even hold over the past year or two... Unless I can find them used, none of them will ever happen. Well, maybe the BFS if I can get over no f...

Re: Well, Shimano is winning me over again.

Seeing as I catch several nickels a year. :banana-gotpics: (That is what this thread is missing...!!!) Craig, Posting Nickel Pics in a thread about Shimano top of the line reels would not be very apropos. You have to post Pics that are more in line with the price of those reels ... I'm thinking 6.4...

Re: Well, Shimano is winning me over again.

I just read a sweet article about shimano bringing over the Antares and Metanium from the Japanese market. I for one cannot wait to see these in person. The metanium is about as high in price as I would like to go but the Antares just looks sweet. The only thing that would have made me happier was ...

RJ, you deserve a lot of kudos for running a very good event. Thanks for doing what you do, and, I hope you run it again next year! (I also secretly hope I'm able to take home top prize again LOL!). Eric, Imagine if we could have made it out there this year and come in with a 5.18 :o

Re: Source of these maps?

My phone got drenched in a downpour two years ago. May as well toss it overboard. I don't spend enormous amounts of money for my phones, (I keep the cash for rods, reels and bass boats). 8) But I still need to purchase a Pelican case for my current non-smart Motorola RAZR V3i GSM Flip Phone. :...
