Re: Shimano Core MG7
I have no issues with this reel and would buy another one in a heartbeat. They are pretty smooth (not much more so than a 200e7 though), fit comfortably in my hand, and casts quite well. It is also quite easy to set up as I do not think I have had a single birds nest. Adam You are a Birds Nest Mach...

Re: Sunglasses for fishing advice for the rest of us? -/+ $5
After going through 3 pairs of $200+ sunglasses, I went back to buying cheap ones. It seems go through sunglasses like soft soft plastics either dropping them in the water, stepping on them, leaving them places and even managed to get a pair stuck in my head in a freak accident. Currently i have 3 p...

Jigs
I remember I asked about jigs prior to the site going down and can`t seem to remember the answers. Anyway I really go into pitchin a jig this year and I am picking up some new jigs from tackle warehouse through a buddy. I manly throw these on the Rideau river. I`m just wondering if there is a certai...

Re: Towng aluminum boat
I don't see you having an issue. I've pulled around an aluminum boat with a camry (4-cylinder) and i have seen numerous people with a sunfire and/or cavalier even civics pulling a boats around.

Re: Quiet Muskie Opener?
My brother and I fished the rideau and didn't get much, saw two in the morning, one missed the lure about 10 feet from the boat made, the other was off after about 2 solid head shakes. Both came in about 6 FOW. We did manage to land a few decent pike and a few OOS bass. Every year I'm amazed on how ...

Re: LOWRANCE MARK 5X - DSI - WHO HAS ONE?
thanks for the feedback, all my fishing is in less than 50 feet of water and reading at high speeds won't be an issue since it's on my trolling motor. I want to use it mainly to read the bottom. I think i'll end up picking one up, they are great price, i would love to invest in a color with GPS but ...

Re: Locking / Securing trailered boat
I also keep mine the garage, if i can't i always try to make sure i'm parked in front of it, I keep the trailer locked at all times and i used to unhook all the straps holding the boat t the trailer, so in the event some Jacka$$ tried to steal it, hopefully it would fall off the trailer. I figure if...

LOWRANCE MARK 5X - DSI - WHO HAS ONE?
I was planning on picking one of these up shortly, I already have a ram mount the trolling motor mount for the transducer. Today i went check the price on Bass pro and i'm reading lots of bad reviews. one being it's hard to read in the sun and hard to set up. Just curious who owns one of these and i...

Ok, First for some reason I couldn't post this Under the boats and motor section Forum? the "new topic" button didn't show up for me. Anyway so when i try to start my motor cold it won't turn over, so i give it a few shots of gas in the carb and it starts right up, and runs perfectly. Once...
