Re: Wavw worms

If I'm not mistaken, murky=brighter colours and clear=darker/natural colours. That's the simplest explanation. Fluorescent colours like chartreuse, orange, bubblegum and white are good for murky waters while brown, deeper greens, black and blue are good for crystal clear waters. Here's a couple of l...

Re: bon echo maps

You've read my mind. I was thinking about hitting Algonquin park at the end of August but Bon Echo has really caught my attention. I want to take my son to fishing for some pike and smallies and make an overnighter and exploration trip all in one. I will definitely keep my eye on this topic for sure...

Re: Your knowledge is greatly appreciated

Thanks everyone I think I will stop trying to take the fast route to the water lol. I think I will wait and do it right with a 14ft wide deep V. I was looking at the Legend Pro Sport if I go the new route. First thing's first I need a hitch and wiring installed.

What are your opinions on this boat and motor? If any of you have something better for me to look at that would be great as well. What should I be looking and listening for if I go check this out? I plan to use it with my 14yo son for fishing the Mississippi and other spots like that. I plan to thro...

Re: Lake Clear near Eganville. ON

Opeongo Mountain Resort is a great place for smallmouth and walleye. The water is so crystal clear it is easy to site fish jigging 30ft+ down. Ask the people when you pay for parking for a map. When you launch go straight past Cherry Island I think to the next one and on the right there is a great s...

Re: Saturday Rideau report

Glad to see you guys had a sweet day on the rideau. My son and I launched out of the provincial park near kemptville and we caught nothing. We were in a canoe and paddled straight across an drifted down to kemptville creek and I had a couple of top water blow ups but nothing hooked. We threw everyth...

Wow that is bone chilling and very upsetting. I'm very to hear that everyone is alive and well. That sucks that you had to go back and forth like that. What a douche bag for not answering the whistle call.

Karma's a bitch and that boat will get there's in due time.

Re: Boat Stolen

Our sympathies for your loss. That so infuriating that people can't keep their hands to themselves. I've been looking to buy a boat so I will let you know if I come across anything suspicious. Karma will get them. Hopefully some tackle and rod donations can come your way for your son and hubby. Mike...

Those Northland panfish baits look amazing. I will definitely keep my eyes open for some of those.

Do any shops carry them here in Ottawa?

Nice pike

Nice catch! I want to start ice fishing with my son but we have never been yet. We would really like someone to show us the ropes sometime. We may head out searching for fishermen during Friday or Saturday afternoon just to feel things out. We fish that lake in the summer and had a bunch of big larg...
