Your best bet for Ottawa River Musky is going to be the Westmeath or Arnprior area. If you're dead set on heading above the swisha dam that musky hunting buddy of yours might have to switch his sights to pike.

I was about 25 mins past Deep River off of 17 heading towards North Bay. Shoot me a PM if you're in the area and we'll get out.

Hardwater Rainbows

Well a few people might have seen me post earlier asking some details on ice fishing rainbows. I finally had time to get out this weekend and do some fishing. I started off shallow in less the 10 FOW and had a few strikes but couldn't get a hook in anything. I figured those few weak strikes that I m...

Both is the answer. Doug is right, the newer Humminbird units have both side imaging and down imaging. The side imaging is an excellent tool to find structure and contours off the sides of your boat and then it can broken down and better examined with the down imaging. Just remember that the further...

I'm planning to head out tommorow for Rainbows as well. First attempt at ice fishing for them and I was under the impression that around first ice they would be a lot shallower then 18'. Just curious if that is the norm for this time of year? With a little help I might be able to add some pictures t...

That's pretty well what I'm expecting to hear. It seems like it's going to be really tough to beat the bang for the buck of the Citica.

Just curious to see if anyone has one of these reels. I've read a few reviews and as usual they are really mixed. I currently have a few Citicas a Currado and one Kinetic PT but I was hoping to save some money and pick up a cheaper reel for one of the rods I rarely use.

Opinions?

Any new info on this? It's definately something I would love to see and I'm sure the 50 team limit would be full in no time. Other then the issue of the weigh in, I'm pretty confident there would be no trouble getting 100+ teams interested in a two day event on a great body of water. As Marty and lo...

I would have to say +1 for the 798si. Great unit for the price and it's super easey to use. Keep an eye on the classifieds and I'm sure you can get a steal of a deal.
