Re: Seaguar Tatsu Fluorocarbon in stock anywhere?

Fluorocarbon has less visibility, less stretch, but more memory than mono. If you're putting this on a spinning reel, I would not go over 10 lbs due to the memory. It also needs to be changed out more often than mono. If you get a kink in the line, everything below that section needs to be cut out. ...

Re: Seaguar Tatsu Fluorocarbon in stock anywhere?

I sell a ton of Sunline. If you don't want to buy a spool I have it in bulk. If you bring your reel in(once we can reopen) I will spool it for you. That way you only pay for what you use. It's $.12 a yard. I also spray it with line conditioner. I also have some Seaguar in stock, I believe it's Invis...

Re: Seaguar Tatsu Fluorocarbon in stock anywhere?

Don't have Tatsu any more. Had some on the shelf, but the price scared most people off. The ones that did buy some hated it. The rest went in the discount bin. Having said all that, I can order some in but it won't be fast.

Re: 2020 fishing

The quick answer is yes as long as we stay at home now. I can see walleye season opener being a bit delayed (hope not) but we will be on the water this summer.

Paddletales temporary closing

As of March 25, Paddletales is temporarily closed due to the Covid 19 crisis. While Sandie and I are incredibly sad to do this, we feel it is the right thing to do at this time. The Ontario Government has asked that all non-essential businesses do this, and remain closed for at least 2 weeks. We ask...

Re: Need help for possible bait casting combo purchase.

The Shimano SLX is an outstanding reel for the price. With the purchase of the reel you can get an SLX rod for 1/2 price, putting the price of the combo at a little over $200.00. I also have cheaper setups, and more expensive as well, but this combo gives you a setup that will last years. We also pu...

Re: Rideau Lakes area Walleye

Big Rideau holds very few walleye. I have seen a couple, and they were huge, but have never caught one. I don't believe there's a targetable population on Big Rideau. If anyone knows different please chime in.

We have them at Paddletales as well. I of course would recommend my own place but the reality is Pirate Cove are good too. Same rebate applies.

We have been busy getting things lined up for the start of the sale this Thursday. As usual, most items will be tax in, with the exception of electronics, trolling motors, and accessories. This weekend though, Humminbird units will be on sale, current inventory only. Here are some of the items we ha...

Spring is around the corner

There are two rites of spring for me, or at least two signs that spring is around the corner. The first is the spring boat show at the EY centre which for obvious reasons I am unable to attend. The second coincides with the boat show, and is the reason I can't attend, and that is the annual Paddleta...
