no crappies yet

I've tried twice so far , and there has been no crappie showing up in my regular spots yet this spring.
The water is a bit high , even in the back lakes . Plus all the rain and cool nights , I guess they'r gonna be late again.
They were last year too , where I fish anyway.

Ice Crappie

Where are all the threads about the ice crappie this year ? No pictures? No interest? No vexlar days? No ice reports about the Rideau Lakes ? Am I looking in the wrong place ? , or is there nothing posted?

Bob's Lake boat ramps

Although I'm a driveable distance from Bob's lake , it is a lake I have never fished. The last couple years I have been exploring new water (to me) , and this year I thought I might try Bob's Lake. After searching internet maps , and scanning for previously asked threads on this topic I have come up...

I was back there today ( same lake) . Pads are starting to appear , and managed to catch enough for a feed. It's just gonna keep getting better. They'r late , but they'r delicious .

The crappie bite

Are they on yet ? I tried Tuesday of last week , (the 8th of May) , and it was too early in that particular lake. I have caught them there on the same calendar date on previous years , but every year is different. This was a late spring . I noticed the lily pads had not made it to the surface yet , ...

How's the crappie bite?

I went out a few times in the early winter + did ok on the slabs , but haven't tryed them since. Got busy with other species I guess.
How's the crappie bite lately? No specific body of water wanted, just a general question. The perch were ON bigtime on the weekend !

I'm still skeptical about driving out there. I was on Newboro last weekend and fished on 7 inches of ice with a foot of snow on top + slush in between.

There was 18-20" of ice depending on where you fish. The only slushy spots I heard about were near Merrywood's Camp point. No top water out in the main basin where we fish. ........ wow that's amazing! I tryed Newboro saturday night and we were fishing on 7 inches of ice , covered with a foot o...

WOW ! I havent caught a lake trout through the ice since they closed the winter season on Charleston. I REALY enjoyed that video ! That would be a trip of a lifetime for a laker man. Camping on the ice , sledding from spot to spot. Bent rods all day long. Only thing missing was the Norwegian bikini ...
