Just back from cayo guillermo ,Cuba.. went fishing with cuban fishing guide on sand flats off national park near hotel/many cowfish(sort of bass type fight) in shallow water on foot, also had few hits on shrimp(fromhotel kitchin )by barraucda,, spectacular bird life and scenery on ocean sand flats/...

Rice has slowed down for me last few years,fished several times a year,,
Am planning on trying lower buckhorn this year for a change/
mind you , it could just be me, some people have had better luck than me

at north end of lake, public launch at Barrys Bay town dock by church\
is only oneI'm aware of ,but further south at Combemere is another
town launch.
I think there are some resorts on north /east end of lake that will charge for launches//
