I'm also more than happy to laminate yours for you, but you'd need to pick it up from me in downtown Ottawa.

Re: 1000 Island poker run
nobody mentioned ribfest Its much smaller than the Ottawa one. usually 6 or 7 different choices, but much less busy than Ottawas as well. Plus if you do lunch on saturday you get to see all of the poker run boats as well. I'm the only real meat eater in my family so i hit up ribfest and my girlfrie...

to ad to almontefishers suggestion.
McGowan Lake just east of Silver Lake has some decent-ish pike in it for the size of lake it is.
I've only ever fished the east end of it, had good luck there so didn't venture any further.

Maybe you could let a store in Carleton Place know where you got your minnows from so us west enders won't be stuck with their usual stock? Lol.

Does anyone else have anything good or bad to ad to this? Thought this might be an economical upgrade to my bare bones humminbird. I was given an old lowrance globalmap 3500 that I was going to use but the t box seems to be comparable in price to the new gps puck I'd need for the Lowrance unit.

they used to give you a key to the gate with your season pass. the end of the year they toss the lock and put a new one for the next year.Jimmy_1 wrote:John's Marina is good but they lock the gates so its limited time.
they also have rental slips if you just want to keep your boat in the water.
