Re: Clayton Lake depth chart
Thanks for all the info folks. Ended up launching at the campsite. The launch in town was just a little to sketchy for my boat. Had a decent day out there. Took us a bit to put them on a pattern but managed to put a decent day together. Got talking to a local there and he was telling us the lake has...

Clayton Lake depth chart
Hi folks, long time since I’ve been on the board here. I’m heading to Clayton lake tomorrow for a little fun fish and was wondering if anyone knows where I might find a depth chart (or a rough guideline of one) for the lake. Planning to launch right in the town of Clayton. Fished the lake like 20 ye...

Re: Trip to Corry Lake, ON
Corry lake does have smallies in it and they tend to be a good size when you get them but they can be tough. There is some really good largemouth in the lake and the last few years small pike have exploded in there. You can still get musky but they aren't as plentiful as before. There is quite a few...

I run amsoil in my boat, and snowblower and I am going to switch my truck over to it the next oil change. I have been very happy with how it performs and if you shop around you can find it for a reasonable price. I also run Sta-Bil Marine in everything I own all the time. It is supposed to prevent i...

Jeff, I agree that Deep River's tournament with the Bass and Walleye option works well but I myself don't think we need another Bass/Walleye combo in the area. As far as letting more than 50 teams I'll tell you my reasoning for that number. Weigh-ins with 50 or more teams can make for a big wait and...

Couple of good points there Beachburger, I never thought about the idea of not having a cut which would help keep hotels and such busy for the extra night. As far as the entry being a little steep I don't believe that. I know of quite a few teams in the local area that travel already to fish high en...

Could the Ottawa Valley support a tournament like this????
Now that Bass season is almost over I got to thinking of what I would like to see and do next season. I don't fish Renegade but I do like what they do in their tournaments and there are many other great events but I still think there is room for one more. This is what I would like to see.... a big f...

Well it was a beauty day and Hotel Tango(Marc) was a great partner for the day but the fish weren't in such a good mood. We caught a few but not like it was the last couple of weekends. I did manage one that was 4 lbs even that fell victim to a Senko. Marc caught one that we had caught a couple of w...

I have been down there the last 2 weekends and I haven't caught a single fish in Hydro Bay or any other bay for that matter. I have got all my fish out in the main channel so I'm thinking they will still be there. I think the low water drove them out of the bays and even though the water came up I t...

You might want to look into if you can get to Cartier Lake. The forestry is closed now because of hunting season and the gate is locked at Corry Lake. I'd hate to see you drive up here only to have the gate closed. I don't know how you would find out if it is open, maybe call the forestry number and...

Open Seat tomorrow.... Lepasse.
Well my partner can't make it now tomorrow for a trip to Lepasse. Is there anyone in the area interested in going? I'll be leaving home here by 7am which puts me in Lepasse around 8. I'll be there all day and will be fishing Largemouth the whole time (unless I can't find them and then I'll run for s...
