I totally agree with you on it being far better than back into the lake, then we start to disagree. This patch of grass is on private property, clearly visable to any of the cottage owners/renters walking to/from cottage/Charleston Village Store. When I saw that change in the spring my first thought was WTF are they thinking.
2nd is why would you keep an 8inch bass ? its almost all head (especially a large mouth). There is as much meat on a nice jumbo perch.

Big Rideau PP does have some boat to sites . You would have to call the park to get info on these since the boat/remote sites are not listed on the web site.

July 12 Charleston Laker Report

The morning started out a little foggy (actually the road was hard to see at times). By the time I got to the lake just after 6 it was almost lifted. Got the boat launched fairly quickly, only a few boats ahead of me. One was another hawker (at least waring the hat), I think they were in a crestline...
