same here the shallower I am with the ball the further back I run the lure. when in the 20- 40 ft range i am running some where in the 20-30ft back below 80 i may be as close as 10-15 ft. It also depends on the lake too When my dad fished Nipigion, they never ran further back then 15ft regardless of...

Check the ground connections.

My lights did not work this yr either.
I pulled all the ground connection bolts on the trailer, cleaned of where they may contact between the bolt heads and trailer (with some steel wool) now they all work.

The ramp at the south end the last time I saw has a nasty drop at the end that can swallow trailer tires if you go to far back. As Dropshot'r noted there is a lot of backing up. you actually have to back up across the road and it is on sharp curve. The other ramp that I know of it a little closer to...

I have the cover from CTC . IT has been pretty good. I've had it for 4 years now and the only issue I had was a broken buckle on a strap which is easy to replace.
It travels well and is vented.

I have 2 manual scotties, 1 old 18 inch and 1 newer 24 inch. The 18 is easier to reach the ball but I prefer the 24. I seem to be able to snug up the line on the rod easier and get a better bend with the 24inch the the 18. (using the same rod and release). The 18 is mounted on the same side as the t...

Turtle Porn for sure Definitely think you were a peeping TOM (BA). I found this little bit of info.. It appears snappers mate basically Ice Out to Ice in. "They are solitary animals, only in the mating season they come together, from April to November. The female snapping turtles lay about 80 e...

Good Luck

The launch at the outlet should still be okay.
If using the launch in Charleston village,, Use the main ramp right at the the bottom of the hill. The water level is down almost 3 feet so the Conservation ramp on the right is too shallow except for canoes and yaks.

I'm sure the legend owner was glad you were there to help..

Too bad about the lack of "eyes" but it was a beautiful day to be on the water regardless.
I had thought about going down Sunday as well but the boss would have shot me :) since I had 2 turkeys to BBq for Monday's meal.

Holy Cow I was on the lake a couple of times after Thanksgiving last year with out too much trouble on the side ramp. Seems a little early to be down that low. I think someone jumped the gun @ the outlet with regards to letting the water level down. I was hoping to go there this weekend with the kid...
