Re: Military no longer require a license
So I have a friend who is active military born in Ontario currently stationed out of province where he has a house. Does he have to buy a license when he comes back home on vacation (leave ) or comes to Kingston or Ottawa on course?

Re: Plastic bunk wrap
Roblin I wouldn't use pressure treated especially with an aluminum boat the green is a definite no. The brown is said to be OK but as the people at the lumber yard said " do you want to be the test" I bought cedar but considered going to a mill and getting hemlock

Re: Boats? What do you drive? Im Looking for a new one
I had a 2004 Alumacraft 165Magnum CS and sold it last spring for what i paid for it. Well not quite because i put a bow mount trolling motor on which wasn't on when I bought it. My understanding is in the states there are as many Alumacraft as Lunds. Great boats that hold value . I now have a Starcr...

Re: Man Made Fish "Cribs"
Not sure if its legal but please make sure it`s deep enough not to interfere with navigation even in extreme low water conditions. Logs float how would you ensure they sink all the way to the bottom and not lurk just under the surface. I`m dealing with the purchase of a $4500 lower unit ( thankfully...

Any hints as to what lures might work for gar? I was told Manns one minus but have been unable to find any . Don't want to use rope and have no fly gear.

Re: Bay of Quinte carp??
Carp were first brought to North America as a food fish to be raised in ponds. The flooding of a river over these ponds was the cause of the spread of these fish to watersheds across the country. Growing up in the 60's I remember going into Loblaws and Dominion stores in certain areas of Toronto and...

Re: Anyone do aluminum welding ?
That's a lt of welding looks like patching was already tried by someone without skill.
You may find what you would spend on welding plus the scrap value would put you not too far from a better boat.

Re: Ice Shack Towing Shirley's Bay
More important is to have a means to get it back in. back when I had a shack I always had lots of help going out but friends were scarce when season was over and shorelines were wet.
